Blake Lively has returned to Instagram after mysteriously deleting all of her snaps and unfollowing her husband.
The US star’s account had been completely wiped earlier in the week, but it now features 242 posts and shows that she’s following Ryan Reynolds once again.
The move, which initially mystified her fans, was later revealed to be a publicity stunt for her new movie, A Simple Favour, which co-stars Anna Kendrick.
A big-screen adaptation of the novel by Darcy Bell, it tells the tale of a woman called Emily Nelson (played by Lively) who mysteriously vanishes from a small town.
Directed by Paul Feig, the tense thriller is expected to hit US cinemas on 14 September.
It also features performances by Henry Golding and Rupert Friend, plus Fifty Shades Darker’s Eric Johnson.
On her return, Blake told her 20 million followers: “Reuploading my page and loving this excuse to post this outfit from last month that I forgot to post the next day.
“Because after a couple days it’s strange to post, like you’re hung up on how awesome you were 2 days ago. Which highlights how lame you are now by comparison to how cool you were when you wore that amazing outfit.
“So you wait a week or so for a #tbt. But then you realise it’s way too soon for a #tbt, what were you thinking??! You should’ve just posted the next day! What are you gonna do now?!? You can’t let that outfit go unposted!
“And then you realise something even more important – you’ve lost your cool entirely. Thanks social media. You’ve officially taken my chill.”
