The Duchess of Cambridge’s English rose style has inspired a new nude lipstick by makeup brand Charlotte Tilbury
The Duchess of Cambridge has long been a fashion icon, and even a hair icon, wowing the public with her effortless style and perfect glossy locks – but now, her classic makeup looks are set to inspire, too. Thanks to makeup mogul Charlotte Tilbury, beauty-lovers can have their own royal makeover – with new lipstick shade ‘The Duchess’, which was inspired by the makeup artist’s love of the royal family.
The lipstick, described as a ‘candied tea-rose’, is an exclusive limited-edition from the brand, and retails for £24 exclusively online. With a satin finish and rose undertones, it’s certainly a shade that Duchess Kate would wear herself, as the royal is rarely seen wearing anything other than a soft smokey eye and a pretty nude lip.
The Kate-inspired shade comes as part of a trio of royalty-themed lipsticks from Charlotte Tilbury. Alongside it is ‘Legendary Queen’, a rich matte berry red, and the original monarch-inspired shade ‘The Queen’, which has been brought back due to popular demand. A crown-jewel raspberry pink, it was apparently chosen because of the lipstick worn by Her Majesty in her 2007 ‘Lightness of Being’ portrait by artist and photographer Chris Levine – shown below.
For those that can’t choose between the regal trio, the three lipsticks are available in a £60 three-piece set, so you can choose your shade based on which royal you want to channel. Well, if it’s fit for a queen, as they say…
