STEREO Kicks have become the latest act to leave the X Factor.

Louis Walsh‘s group were in the bottom two alongside Cheryl Fernandez-Versini‘s act Lauren Platt.

While the group decided to sing the Jason Mraz song I Won’t Give Up, Lauren belted out I Know Where I’ve Been from Hairspray.

But the decision of who to send home split the judges.

After Louis and Cheryl both opted to save their own acts, it was down to Mel B and Simon Cowell.

Mel decided to send home Lauren and apologised to Cheryl for doing so. But Simon said that the 17-year-old sang better and sent home the boy band.

With equal votes, it went to Deadlock and host Dermot O’Leary revealed the eight-piece had got the lowest amount of public votes and would be going home.

While in tears, the group vowed to stay together while Louis said he was hopeful they’d get a record label.

Performing on the results show was Queen with former American Idol star Adam Lambert. X Factor alumni Union J and Ella Henderson also returned to perform their new songs.

Next week’s show will have performances from previous winner Sam Bailey, Fifth Harmony and Frozen star Idina Menzel.
