This hairstylist will be the first to meet Duchess Kate’s new baby
Kate Middleton is due to give birth any day and her hairstylist will be one of the first people to meet her baby. Find out more about the lady behind the Duchess’ perfectly groomed tresses.
The Duchess of Cambridge is due to give birth to her third child at Londons St Mary’s hospital any day now, with the world eagerly awaiting news of the royal baby. Aside from Kate’s husband Prince William, there is another person who will likely be one of the newborn’s first visitors. According to HELLO!‘s royal correspondent Emily Nash, the Duchess’ personal hairstylist Amanda Cook-Tucker is on standby for the day she gives birth.
“As with the births of Prince George and Princess Charlotte, the Duchess will want to look her best when she presents her new son or daughter to the world just a few hours after giving birth,” says Emily. “Luckily for her, she has her assistant Natasha Jackson and hairstylist Amanda Cook-Tucker on hand to help. If she follows the same formula as her last two Lindo Wing appearances, they are likely to slip in through a side door to help her prepare for the cameras.”
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with Princess Charlotte
It’s hard to imagine putting on a chic outfit and getting your hair done just hours after labour, but that’s exactly what Kate did after her previous two births. When Charlotte arrived, the Duchess looked stunning in a Jenny Packham dress with her brunette hair styled in a voluminous wavy look – amazing for a tired mum. After George’s birth in 2013, Kate wore her hair in a straighter style. We wonder how she will wear her hair for the announcement of baby number three.
Kate’s hairstylist Amanda Cook-Tucker
Amanda is one of Kate’s closest friends and has styled her hair for years, regularly joining the family on royal tours abroad. Amanda recently shared a photo ahead of William and Kate’s visit to Norway and Sweden. She posted a picture of several different hair products on Instagram and wrote: “Think that’s everything! #worktrip #packing.”
It seems Amanda’s connection with the royals doesn’t end there; her ex-husband, Neville Tucker, owned a hair salon in Knightsbridge which held the Royal Warrant from 1980 to 1994. It’s believed the former couple worked closely with the Queen‘s former personal hairdresser, Charles Martyn.
